HCPS Outdoor Learning

Harrisonburg City Public Schools consists of 6 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 2 high schools. We are striving to provide more outdoor learning experiences for students to use during their school day. Keister Elementary has developed learning spaces in their nature trail and in areas in close proximity to the school. This school year, we hope to promote outdoor learning through outdoor classroom development / upgrades at other schools in the district. 

We are currently working on maintaining already existing outdoor learning spaces while planning to enhance and create more spaces at other schools.
