Who We Are
Young Life College at JMU is a vibrant, faith-based campus ministry designed to help college students build community, explore their faith, and mentor local youth. It provides a welcoming, high-energy, and low-pressure environment for students of all backgrounds to connect.
What We Do
The ministry features several core components:
- Weekly "Club": Open to all students, these gatherings occur weekly and feature interactive games, connection, and short messages about scripture or personal testimonies.
- Small Groups & Bible Studies: For students looking for a deeper dive into their faith, YLC offers smaller discipleship groups and bible studies to build lifelong friendships.
- Local Mentorship & Summer Staff: JMU students have the opportunity to volunteer as Young Life leaders for local middle and high schools, or work at national camps (like the Washington Family Ranch) during the summer.
- Social Events: The group frequently hosts casual gatherings like cookouts, themed parties (such as square dancing), and outdoor outings.
To get connected, check meeting locations, or find out about upcoming events, the best way to reach out is by following the JMU Young Life Instagram or viewing the JMU Young Life Website.
