Volunteer with Our Homeless Shelter Program
Bring hope, dignity, and support to those experiencing homelessness.
Join our compassionate team as a shelter volunteer and help make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families seeking stability. Volunteers will work alongside the Shelter Program Manager, Lead Housing Monitor, and dedicated staff to support the daily operations and enrichment activities of our shelter.
Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:
- Assisting with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup
- Supporting recreational and social activities for shelter residents
- Helping lead or facilitate life skills workshops (budgeting, hygiene, job readiness, etc.)
- Assisting with organizing donations and supplies
- Offering a friendly, listening ear and a welcoming presence
- Helping with children’s activities when families are present
Program Goals:
- Provide a safe, supportive, and respectful environment
- Encourage personal growth and life stability
- Support residents in building confidence, community, and self-sufficiency
