Volunteer: Spring 2026 InternshipCWS Harrisonburg offers internships to interested students from a variety of academic disciplines. Intern duties vary greatly depending on current needs and opportunities. Regardless of major or area of interest, all interns are expected to help in all areas of our work as needed. Interns may indicate their preference in the following focus areas available in our office: K-12 Education, Adult ESL & CO, Immigration, Health, and Case Management.
Additional General Job Duties: Assist with greeting clients, answering phones, andscheduling appointments at our reception deskHelp staff maintain and update case files and case notesTeach or tutor children or adults in English or cultural orientation sessions.Provide transportation in personal vehicle to medical or social service appointmentsInformal interpretation (if the intern is fluent in a second language)Assist staff with other duties as needed.
