Volunteer: Poverty Simulator | 2025Open Doors is partnering with the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office to host a community action poverty simulation. As an interactive, immersive experience, the poverty simulator gives participants a glimpse of structural barriers and some of the social and emotional impacts of poverty. Volunteers are needed to role-play certain professions, like a banker or social worker, to contribute to the participant experience.
