Volunteer: Youth Support Specialist: Get Involved with Local Lives (Spring 2026)

Under the guidance of our staff, you will be working directly with our Club members assisting with various daily activities including homework assistance, art creation and being a buddy. The ability to build relationships and encourage positive behaviors is key to this position.

Our greatest need is in our three County Clubs: Timberville, Grottoes and Elkton. We have three City sites which can be considered also.

2/hrs per visit, minimum of 20 hrs semester

Background check required along with payment for the background check at $15/ea. Students can sign up 2 per location/time but no more than two. Days to volunteer are determined by Club needs.

Community Partner: Boys & Girls Club of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County
