Who We Are

Healthy Community Health Centers (HCHC) is a nonprofit medical home serving more than 14,000 people in Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, and nearby areas. Founded in 2007 to address the area’s shortage of accessible healthcare, our mission is simple: provide patient-centered care that is accessible and affordable for all. We serve people of all ages, backgrounds, and incomes, taking time to listen, build trust, and make sure cost is never a barrier.

What We Do

We offer care through every stage of life, from checkups and prenatal care to dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services. More than half of our patients are best served in a language other than English, so we provide interpreters, multilingual resources, and culturally inclusive care. We also address non-medical needs that affect health—like our Food Pharmacy, which helps reduce food insecurity for patients and their families. Volunteers help extend our reach and capacity, making it possible to serve more people and deepen our impact in the community.
