Therapy and Beyond Exercise Communities

Therapy and Beyond is an exercise community for persons with diagnosed neurological movement disorders or have experienced limb loss. We employ documented, scientifically-proven exercise methods to improve individuals' quality of life.

Therapy and Beyond became a legalized 501(c)(3) organization in September 2025, but has provided services in the Shenandoah Valley since 2010. Its vision and mission statements are provided below:

Vision Statement

That all residents of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley with neurological movement disorders or limb loss can realize improved quality of life via therapist-led exercise opportunities.

Mission Statement

To provide within a welcoming community, therapist-led exercise and health education opportunities for residents of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley who have experienced limb loss or neurological movement disorders. 

Therapy and Beyond offers therapist-led exercise classes twice per week for limb-loss/limb-difference survivors, persons who have experienced CVAs (i.e., stroke), and persons with Parkinson's disease. The classes are grouped according to each person's health condition. Participants pay a small fee, but scholarships are available if these fees are problematic.
