Who We Are

Cat’s Cradle’s mission is to ensure and maintain a safe, compassionate community for cats in the Shenandoah Valley.
We do this by facilitating and promoting spay/neuter and Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR), conducting foster-based rescue and adoption from local shelters, and providing pet retention and rehoming programs. Our intent is to steadily decrease the intake of cats and kittens at local shelters and to ultimately end the euthanasia of healthy adoptable pets in the communities we serve.

What We Do

Love Cats? So Do We!
Join the fun at our Downtown Cat Café & Adoption Center—a cozy haven where adoptable kitties meet cat-loving humans!

We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help us keep things running smoothly.

We need volunteers who can help us maintain the cleanliness of the space, look after the cats, and greet the public! Our Café is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10am until 6pm. We offer one hour time slots that recur weekly and we allow volunteers to sign up for multiple time slots if needed.

Our downtown center answers over 10,000 calls each year, offering support to residents of Rockingham, Augusta, and Page counties. We assist with spay/neuter, medical needs, rehoming, and more.

We also take in cats from area shelters and run a thriving adoption program. Come be part of something purr-fectly impactful!

Interested? Reach out today and help us make a difference—one paw at a time!
