Who We Are
Young Adults Rise (YAR) was formed to address the dire need of young adults, whose struggles have led to an epidemic of mental illness.
What We Do
Young Adults Rise uses tools, speakers, peer discussions, and social opportunities, to help build young adults life skills, to aid them in identifying meaning, purpose, and a belief in something larger than themselves, and to help them develop a community and tools for meaningful and durable relationships. The program curriculum is research based, drawing from experts who have studied this age group. Best of all, it is free for any young adult. We meet weekly for 90 minutes. Three weeks of the month are devoted to substantive topics and peer discussions, and one week a month is for a planned social activity, such as game night or bowling. Topics include career, finances, relationships, general wellness, and practical life skills (such as healthy and inexpensive cooking).
