We need you to help us tell our story.
As a nonprofit, it is important for us to educate the community about who we serve, what we are doing, and any needs the community can meet in support of our mission. Volunteers are needed to help us capture stories that are of interest to the community (outside of Pleasant View). We need help updating how we communicate with people who know Pleasant View and reach new people.
Pleasant View's mission is to help individuals with disabilities in living out their goals for meaningful work, relationship, and spiritual development.
Our vision is that all people will have the opportunity to live in and enrich their communities.
You can make a difference!
This is something new. If you want to spend time with the individuals we support while volunteering, you will need to bring us evidence of a negative TB test taken within the last 6 months per our licensing requirements. You will be trained in HIPAA Compliance and Individuals Rights.

You can still volunteer with individuals with disabilities in addition to at another time too. One week could be in person and the next week could be virtual. We can play it by ear as we start. As interested parties apply, they can be added to the group.
Areas you can help with include:
- Writing Newsletter Articles (Print and Email)
- Research Social Media Posts (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram)
- Help Develop Inclusive Community Events (Disability Awareness Month activities, Great Community Give, Golf Fore Empowerment)
- Creating new opportunities to engage the community with inclusive activities or meet-ups.
Volunteers will receive training before their first day of service. You will need to return the attached or online (https://pleasantviewinc.org/careers-and-volunteers/) application along with a negative TB test you secure from a physician or proof of negative TB test results within the last 6 months. When volunteering, please enter the doors that face Commerce Drive. If you can't come for a scheduled activity, please notify us at 540-560-1134.
