Pleasant View is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join us as Support Services Volunteers. In this role, you will provide essential support to our Support Services team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities: Assist Support Services with organizing and filing important documents. Help individuals with disabilities complete surveys by asking questions and recording responses. Socialize with individuals supported by Pleasant View to build connections and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
Ideal Qualities: Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills. Organized and detail-oriented. Comfortable interacting with individuals with diverse abilities. Able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate respect for all individuals.
Time Commitment: This is a flexible volunteer position with opportunities to serve on a schedule that works for you. Once you create your schedule, it is expected that you notify supervisor in advance if you are not able to volunteer on a scheduled day.

We will need you to bring us evidence of a negative TB test taken within the last 6 months per our licensing requirements. You will be trained in HIPAA Compliance and Individuals Rights. This volunteer position requires a background check and additional training and requires a commitment from each student who applies to complete 2 to 3 hours a week or the equivalent. Pleasant View will schedule and pay for your background check after training.
