Hi! We have had a last minute cancellation and are in need of lots of hands THIS Friday at Stone Spring Elementary to assist in installing 18 wooden posts into the ground of their nature trail for a "StoryWalk Trail" so that classes can walk through nature while reading a book. You will be joining other volunteers who will guide you in how you can team up with others and help. This opportunity requires you to assist with PHYSICAL LABOR involving:
-pouring bags of gravel into a pre-dug hole (There are 18 of them)
-lifting and pouring large bags of cement into a wheelbarrow, adding water and mixing it up
-bringing the cement in the wheelbarrow to pour into the holes / helping hold the wooden post level as someone else pours it

*If we get enough volunteers to help with posts, we may have time to plant shrubs and flowers

**This is an all day volunteer event, but you can come for any amount of time that fits your schedule! Even an hour or two would be super helpful
***Once you enter the Stone Spring parking lot, go to the right and park in the lot near the playground. Volunteers will be up the wooded hill along the gravel path or in the trails
