The Welcoming Harrisonburg Council invites you to volunteer to help with the 2024 Immigrant Leadership Summit: Global Perspectives, Local Belonging, to be held on Friday, March 29th on the campus of James Madison University.
The event will be the first of its kind in the Shenandoah Valley. It will be an opportunity to meet, network, and receive training on topics most central and relevant to the themes of leadership development, immigrant/refugee inclusion, and empowerment.
Participants will include local immigrant and refugee leaders, professionals, students, and advocates with backgrounds from around the world, now living and working together in the Shenandoah Valley to create a welcoming community.
Event partners include James Madison University, Skyline Literacy, Church World Service, and the City of Harrisonburg.
